The Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) is significantly improving the South Spokane Street Viaduct, the 60-year-old elevated roadway that connects I-5 to the West Seattle Bridge.

Alaskan Way Viaduct and Seawall Replacement - South End

Many people only think of the viaduct along the central waterfront, but the double-deck structure extends to S. Holgate Street past Safeco Field. This south end section of the viaduct accounts for almost half of the entire structure.

SR 99 - S Holgate Street to S King Street Viaduct Replacement

As of Sunday, May 15, both directions of a section of the SR 99 Alaskan Way Viaduct corridor have been reduced from three to two lanes between the West Seattle Bridge and Seattle's sports stadiums.
